Quads / Multiplexors

Quads and multiplexers were devices used in analog CCTV that allowed you to display cameras in multiple locations and/or with different channel configurations separate from the main recording DVR (with no recording abilities). Unfortunately as the analog equipment is slowly being discontinued, Analog Quads / Multiplexers where the first devices to go. This technology is no longer compatible with the digital HD-TVI, AHD or CVI technologies and cannot be used with IP.

With the decrease in cost of all DVR units, it is now possible to purchase a 4CH or 8CH DVR for the same or less than you can purchase a Quad / Multiplexer, furthering the demise of this old antiquated technology.
